About The Course
EGS1006 is an Introduction to Engineering that offers students a chance to explore the different engineering majors offered through the College of Engineering. Each week, you will rotate through engineering departments based on your section number (on your schedule). The goal is to help you make informed decisions about choosing a major and the career opportunities available to graduates.
Course Goals
- Students will gain an understanding of the different engineering majors offered in the UF College of Engineering.
- Students will learn about the career opportunities afforded by each engineering discipline.
- Students will be prepared to make an informed choice of major.
- Students will gain understanding of the impact of engineering in a societal context.
