Pre-Requisites: MAC 2312 and experience with a scientific programming language. Traditionally, dual enrollment students take MAS 3114 after MAC 2313.
Course Goals
MAS 3114 is a 3-credit course on linear algebra whose topics are of computational nature. The topics include linear equations, matrices, determinants, vector spaces, linear transformations, inner products, and eigenvalues. This course emphasizes computational aspects of Linear Algebra. MAS 3114 is designed to serve science, computer science, quantitative science, engineering majors, and mathematics minors. Mathematics majors are required to take MAS 4105, Linear Algebra 1.
